  • Subiect: Preservation methods and techniques restoration of leather-fur objects, utilized in the laboratory of the ASTRA Museum Complex The objects of leather, resulting either from sleeveless fur coats, peasant belts, sheepskin coats, footwear or accessories have an important place in the collection of the ASTRA Museum from Sibiu. The remaking of leather through traditional methods, like tanning was known a long time ago. The objects of leather can irremediably lose some characteristics in their compositions. That is why, during the restoration work there are made some operations and we use substances which keep the objects in repair
