Un cuptor de uz casnic descoperit în aşezarea din Punctul „Călălboaia”, sat Polocin, com. Pogoneşti, jud. Vaslui

  • Subiect: „In this article we will not stop on the results of the latest archaeological research campaigns, therefore we will focus on a very special discovery that took place in 2016. It is a household oven, a unique fireplace, found in the eastern extremity of the S XI section, at the depth of 0,50 m. Certainly, other ovens have been discovered over time, that could be associated to the period of the 4th century AD, but in the vast majority of the cases only pottery kilns were revealed, not household ovens, probably used for baking bread, roasting food and cooking, in general. Roughly oval shaped oven was found oriented to an east-west axis, with the opening to the east, respectively to the lower slope of the settlement.”
