Necropola de tip Sântana de Mureş - Cerneahov de la Tigheci (campania 2017). Date paleoantropologice

  • Subiect: „Between 2013 and 2015, the Sântana de Mureş-Černjachov necropolis (IV century AD) from Tigheci was investigated through the surface prospecting by the specialists of the National Archaeological Agency. In 2015, archaeologists from the National Archaeological Agency discover a few burial graves partially destroyed, and save more bones from the earth shattered by landslides. These bones come from a single individual - an adult man. In 2017, archaeologists discover and investigate five burial graves. The skeletal batch paleoanthropologically analyzed in this study consists of seven individuals, of which five adults (two men and three women) and two sub-adults. The preservation state of bones is satisfactory to precarious. Not all skeletons are complete, due largely to anthropic factors.”
