  • Subiect: „The conference clearly showed how much we could learn from each other. The network of the International Association of City Museums offers, as everyone knows, superb opportunities for this. Perhaps the city museums workgroup of lCMAH can in the future play a special role by setting up interdisciplinary pilot projects to investigate the more theoretical and practical issues that are of importance in the city-museums world. A condition would have to be that the results are transferable. During the conference it was clear that museums often have theoretical ideas on, for example, policy with regard to the public or collections, but owing to a shortage of time and money, as well as a lack of museological expertise, cannot put these ideas into practice.”
