Aniversarea naşterii lui Aurel Filimon (4 martie 1891 - 6 martie 1946), fondatorul Muzeului din Târgu Mureş (activitatea etnografică)

  • Subiect: The anniversary of Aurel Filimon's birth (4-th of March, 1891 - 6th of March, l946) the founder of Târgu Mureş Museum On the basis of documents at the Mureş county Museum, of Filimon's family and time's press, the author reconstitutes the ethnographic activity of Aurel Filimon, tireless collector, founder of Târgu Mureş Museum and founder of the Mureş ethnographical basic research. Through a large exhibitional activity (in homeland and abroad), he followed to illustrate "the persistence and perpetual settlement of Romanian elements between the old Dacia bounds". Successfully using his knowledge in the archaeology domain, he succeeded to illustrate the Romanian population continuity in the Carpathian - Danubian space, through comprising the archaeological materials to the ethnographic pieces, guiding the visitors to the conception of permanent inhabitation of Romanian population through the ornamental motifs continuity from prehistory till so far.
