  • Subiect: The authors underline the importance for musewns to be more aware of their important role in society, not only as simple cultural institutions but also as an active part of a cultural system, a "sense" producer. Museums have to form their own public because there is a risk of being left aside. Museums are places where permanent education finds its applicability, but they are also an alternative, a creative social bound that can maintain social cohesion and harmony. Therefore, the pedagogic and educational function of museums are very important in the context of the increase of the interest for the exhibitions and overpass the present crisis of not attracting enough public interest for these cultural institutions.
