Carol Davila şi învăţământul medical românesc

  • Subiect: Carol Davila is the founder of Romanian medical school. He came to Valahia in 1853, impressing the prince ştirbei with his appearance and his intelligence. This paper is a short presentation of Davila's life and work, stressing his contribution to the Romanian medical education. In 2001, in an anniversary symposium, the Goleşti Museum celebrates 175 years from the founding of Village School from Goleşti, where this study was presented by the author.
