Demersuri ale expertizei ştiinţifice în depistarea intervenţiilor de falsificare

  • Subiect: The paper deals with the problem of art forgery, which is so actual and very seriously taken into consideration by the collectors, the artistic and scientific experts and also by the trade makers of works of art. Considering the forger field of copies and replicas, elements concerning the typology of forgery are given and a special attention is paid to the methods of paintings' forgery and to the difficulties that those who falsify have to overcome. There are also presented the scientific methods implied in the detection of the forge files, the methods implied by the artistic and scientific expertise respectively. Some examples related to the ways of detecting false paintings, using methods of examination of the surface with the help of the optical radiation and the methods for the identification of the materials in the composition of the works of art are given.
