Pagini din istoria învăţământului vâlcean. Comuna Stoeneşti, judeţul Vâlcea

  • Subiect: Pages of education history in Vâlcea County. Stoenesti commune, Vâlcea District The basis for secular education in our country was laid at the beginning of the XIV century. In Valcea county, the first schools were founded around the monasteries Cozia, Bistrita, Hurez and Dintr-un lemn. Secular education developed in parallel with religious education, first in Slavonic, and afterwards in Romanian. In villages, the priests and teachers of the Church were the first literates. The Romanian school became a state institution after the promulgation of the Organic Regulations (July 1831). Eforia şcoalelor (the first institution to coordinate the education system) drafted a Regulation to organise school activities. In Valcea county, the villages Cacova (Zmeurăt), Dobriceni and Stoeneşti, which were merged in 1968, occupied a leading position in education. Many scholars emerged from here, honoring this part of the world.
