Altarul triptic – o piesă unicat în patrimoniul Muzeului Ţării Făgăraşului ”Valer Literat”

  • Subiect: The triptych altar – a unique piece of the Făgăraş County Museum heritage Our museum heritage keeps the triptych altar of the Evangelical church from Cincşor, important piece from an artistic and documentary point of view, due to the rarity of this kind of altarpieces in the panel painting from Transylvania. Its construction is simple - a triptych formed by the central panel, on which is painted The Crucifixion, and two wings painted in two registers on both sides and having as subject the Passion of Jesus. It was painted in the second half of the seventeenth century (1655) in the same workshop in which were made the altars of the Evangelical churches from Blăjel (1633) and Agnita (1650), altars considered hybrid models with mannerist and early Baroque additions. The altar was recently restored in the Local Restoration Laboratory of ASTRA National Museum Complex.
