  • Subiect: Preservation of the folk ceramic pottery collection of Ţara Făgăraşului Museum The present article is devided into subchapters as follows: I. General considerations regarding the apprearance of clay processing craft since the dawn of humanity, the clay pottery being present in the inventories of households since Stone Age. II. The ceramic pottery of Transylvania, the appearance of craft and the influences it achieves in this area. This chapter also focuses on the appearance of the first potter guilds in the region. III. The ceramic pottery of Făgăraş County, the appearance of the first potter centres in our region at Făgăraş, Cârţa, Cârţişoara and Noul Român. IV. The ceramic pottery collection, description of the collection and study of the pieces. V. The specific degradations of these pieces. The preservation measures, the protection measures taken by us to protect and preserve these cultural goods.
