Din corespondenţa lui Simion Bărnuţiu (1848-1849)

  • Subiect: FROM SIMION BARNUŢIU'S CORRESPONDENCE (1848-1849) We now present 8 letters ·that bring new data about the tormented period of the 1848-1849 revolution in Transylvania. The letters proceed from the Romanian National Committee in Sibiu, bearing as the first signature that of Simion Bărnuţiu, president of the Committee. There also sign George Bariţiu, Timotei Cipariu and Aaron Florian. The letters mainly regard a better military coordination of the Romanians. The problem of the Cut estate, which belonged to Blaj, the postponing of the 4th assembly in Blaj, the protection of the fortune of baron Dionisiu Kemeny, and also the roaming of Simion Bărnuţiu's refuge to Wallachia.
