Lucian Blaga şi Primul Război Mondial. Anii 1917-1918

  • Subiect: Lucian Blaga and the First World War. 1917-1918 According to the strategic approach, the 1917 year brings the intervention of the USA in the war by Antanta and the revolution from Russia, that will destroy the Russian regime. Lucian Blaga is the experiment of those who believe in the victory of Antanta and the union of Transylvania with Romania. Dealing with difficulties in supplying with food and the fast prices increase, Blaga decides to commute from Vienna to Sebes for two months in the capital of the Empire and two months at home in Sebes. The Transylvanian scholar highlights the signs of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire decay, including the academic medium. The classes were held into a tense climate, the poor population of Vienna was manifesting in the center of the city and the soldiers were coming back to their homes peddling revolutionary messages. In this context, Lucian Blaga decides at the end of October 1918 to leave the confused, doubtful, and revolutionary Vienna and to return to Sebes-Alba.
