Suba Zoltán – omul din spatele aparatului de fotografiat

  • Subiect: Suba Zoltán-the man behind the camera Suba Zoltán was one of the Baia Mare greatest photographers. He learned the photographic technique in Baia Mare (between years 1925-1929 he was the disciple of the famous photographer Huszthy Matyas) and in the capital of Hungary - Budapest. After the apprenticeship period, he worked in various photographic workshops from Targu Mures and Miercurea Ciuc. In Baia Mare he professed as a professional photographer between years 1937-1977 (the year of retirement). He made portrait photos, images with Baia Mare, and photos at various events with political, cultural and sports significance. After him remained an impressive collection of clichés on glass, whose acquisition started by the County Museum of History and Archeology in 2014. Through photos taken through photos taken during his lifetime, Suba Zoltán can be considered a ”chronicler” of the city of Baia Mare.
