Istorie şi interdisciplinaritate în studiile despre rromi

  • Subiect: History and interdisciplinarity in studies on Roma/Gypsies Due to the development of humanist sciences and the emergence of new ones, human society is much deeper and more complex studied, and looks like a complex puzzle. In terms of history of mentalities and history of the imaginary, Interdisciplinarity is a real necessity, due to the complex approaches in these studies, as well as by the common methods of the various study disciplines. For this reason, Interdisciplinarity is manifested through method lending and the use of the results of various studies conducted in tangential research fields, also. Concerning Roma studies, most of the researches have been carried out by researchers from different fields of research, not just by historians, the first studies were ethnographic and linguistic, descriptive. Nowadays we have a lot of social studies. This reality from the research field obliges the historian to make a complex and interdisciplinary analysis. All the more so since the studies of imagology are, by their nature, convergent approaches coming from different research directions: social psychology, sociology, ethnography, demography, statistics, human geography etc. All these approaches are particularly useful and necessary to describe a very complex human society, thus completing the positivist historical vision.
