  • Subiect: Considerations regarding the Mongolian command during the Great Invasion of Europe from 1236-1242 The Mongolian invasion developed between 1236 and 1242 violently hit the territories of Eastern and Central Europe. The Mongolian forces engaged in the campaign amounted to about 130.000-150.000 fighters, grouped into 13-15 tümets, respectively large units of 10.000 men. The Mongolian command, consisting of the commanders of the tümets, was formed by the descendants of Cingghis Khan, namely Princes Batu, Orda, Shiban, Tangqut, Berke Shingqur, Möngke, Böček, Güyük, Qadan, Kölgen (Kulkan), Baydar şi Büri, as well as the high noyans Sübedey, Burulday and Harqasun.
