Statutul juridic citadin al Făgăraşului: avans şi recul, rivalităţi şi realităţi, dispute şi decizii (1834-1876)

  • Subiect: Urban juridical statute of Făgăraş: advancement and rebound, rivalries and realities, disputes and decisions (1834-1876) The theme of Făgăraş joining the Transylvanian cities, initiative of the local Hungarian elite, ephemeral accomplished in 1863, hadn’t had constituted the object of a particular research. It was tangentially touched in some documented articles regarding the demographical overview evolution of the city, its ethnical structure over the time, and its religious realities in different periods of time. We are going to present it starting from the rich information from the Hungarian newspaper from Cluj: Korunk, Kolozsvári Közlöny, Kelet, to which their tireless correspondents from Făgăraş sent an impressive number of stories, often endless, about the place where ty lived. They are, of course, biased, partial, flashing, repetitive testimonials, but they add to the dry numbers of contemporary statistics, as well as to the few primary documents published until now, concreteness, abundancy, the color and the vibration of the real life. It was as passionate in politics area both locally and generally. Or rather much more! We cross through them in the fervent subject, in the labyrinth of interethnic relations, observing the national problem of Transylvania from that period
