  • Subiect: The first sanitary law of Romania and measures for limitation of spreading of epidemics – the Law regulating the sanitary service from june 16th 1874 This article is focused on the first law who organized the sanitary service in Romania and especially on the measures provided by it regarding the limitation of spreading of epidemics. The Law regulating the sanitary service from June 16th 1874 was adopted during the conservative government led by Lascăr Catargiu and put the modern basis of the sanitary system in Romania. At that time, the well-known doctor in medicine, Iacob Felix, insisted on the importance of sanitary education of the Romanian peasants, who formed the majority of the population in our country and on the promotion of the importance of hygiene.
