Lecţiile artistice şi morale oferite de Acropola Atenei omenirii

  • Subiect: The artistic and moral lessons offered by the Acropolis of Athens to mankind The Acropolis („upper city” in Greek) is the mistress of Athens, a rock with a height of 156 m at the base and on which there are unparalleled buildings in the world. The ancient Mycenaean Acropolis, which became a sanctuary in the archaic period, was destroyed by the Persians in 480 BC. Following their retreat, the sacred hill of the Athenians was nothing more than a vast cemetery of piled stones and shattered statues. 33 years after this barbarism, more precisely in the year 447 BC, the illustrious Athenian statesman, Pericles, begins to grandly rebuild the destroyed temples. Each of the monuments of the Acropolis - the Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Victory Aptere, the Erechtheion - now erected, is considered a masterpiece of classical Greek art. But these monuments also offer the world interesting artistic and moral lessons.
