  • Subiect: Romanian church, culture and political activity in the county of Cluj in the eighteenth century and nineteenth century. A case study: the Jucu district At the beginning of the 18th century, the priest Stephen from Lower Jucu was among the signatories of the act of union of Transylvanian Orthodox Church with Rome (1701). One of his followers, Stephen Pop Timandi, parish priest and archpriest of Jucu, received from the pope the honorary title of „apostolic protonotary” and was named deputy bishop for Northern Transylvania at the departure of Bishop innocent Micu Klein to Vienna and Rome.
