Evoluţia demografică a municipiului Zalău în condiţiile dezvoltării economice-sociale în perioada 1968-1985

  • Subiect: The Demographic Evolution of the Zalău City under the Conditions of Economic and Social Development in the Period 1968-1985 The demographic dynamics of Zalău evolved between the years 1968-1985 on the background of a vigorous development of the productive forces, growing natality and increasing material and spiritual civilization level of the town. In the year 1968 Zalău. had 15.645 inhabitants, while less than 10 years later, one could register 31.923 inhabitants on the occasion of the 1977 census. As a consequence of the putting into commission of the main factories and units that attracted an important amount of work force, as a consequence of the increasing birth rate Zalău's population consisted in 1980, July, 1st of 40.296 and in 1985 of 54.676 people. The prospective studies show that Zalău's population will increase approximately to 70-75 thousand inhabitants till the year 2000.
