Palatul Casei de Economii şi Consemnaţiuni

  • Subiect: When, in 1592, ruler Constantin Brâncoveanu opened a new road in Bucharest, to link his Bucharestan palace to his Mogoşoaia residence, he founded one of the most important boulevards to come. Throughout the centuries, important buildings were risen here that sketched the architectural configuration of the Romanian Capital. The Saving Bank Palace was built according to the plans of the French architect Paul Gottereau. The paper presents the history of the Bank, that of the Pa/ace and that of the architectural environment.
