Conservarea şi restaurarea pieselor scheletice de proboscidieni din Colecţia Muzeului Ţării Crişurilor

  • Subiect: The Proboscidaea collection of Muzeul Ţării Crişurilor consists of scheletal elements belonging to the following: Deinotherium giganteum, Deinotherium gigantissimum, Mastodon (Bunolophodon) longirostris; Mastodon (Anancus) arvernensis; Mastodon sp.indet; Archidiskodon meridionalis; Parelephas trogontherii; Mammuthus primigenius. The purpose of this paper is to present briefly the excavation tehniques in order to safely recover the scheletal elements, with their suitable restoration and conservation. The preservational and restoration methods in the collection are sustained by photographs and preparation tehniques performed during the works for salvation, conservation and restoration.
