Repartiţia proprietăţii funciare din România în primele decenii ale secolului al XX-lea

  • Subiect: At the beginning of the 2oth century, duetu its level ef tehnic-material basis and the poor maturization of the capitalist relations, Remania was among the countries with agricultural economy especially, usually encontered in East and South-east Europe. The structure of the employed labour-force clearly reflects the argicultural character of the economy, 71 % of the whole amount of the employed men and 90% of the employed women working in this field in 1913. The country agricultural area of about 8 millions hectares, out of proportion distributed and polarized at the limits of the landed property, represented a slackering of its extending rhythm. As the fields sown with cereals were expanding and the production was growing over the domestic consumption needs, an important part was exported. One of the merchandise production features as far as the Romanian agriculture of that time is concerned was its cerealization to the prejudice of the zootechnic products. Many factors contributed to this progress, such as: the land fertility, the size and geographical situation of the exploitation areas, the introduction of certain equipments and agriculture machines, the planting system used, the production specialization, etc.The huge peasant exploitation, called middle exploitation as well, was an intermediary to pass the agricultural progress from the big farmers to the small ones, blurring to certain extend the contrast between the two main property categories. The parcei exploitations came into being pointing out the regress, on the one hand they were too small to assure the owner families under living conditions and on the other hand the land exploitations were too big to enable new intensive and modern planting methods tobe used.
