  • TITLU în română: Revoluţia din 1989- Metode de predare-învăţare în şcoală şi în afara ei
  • Subiect: Thirty years after the Revolution of December 1989, the interest displayed by youth regarding the events that brought the communist regime in Romania to an end has started waning. This decrease in the levei of awareness could have its roots in the profound changes induced into our lives by globalization, as well as the integration in the EU and the rampant technological advancement of our age. Traditionally a great role in providing education to the young generations in regard to our national history was undertaken byparents and grandparents. However, in the past years the family has nat been playing that active of a part in such processes. Given the context. teaching students about the communist regime and its fall becomes more effective as a collaborative endeavour between educational institutions, massmedia, family, and other agents. Such a goal was achieved by the British Council in Bucharest with the conference organized on the theme of the communist regime and the revolution form Decemher 1989, on December 18th 2019. During the conference, students were encouraged to conduct independent research about the communist period and engage in discussions based on their findings. A group of students from Liceul Teoretic lonita Asan from Caracal presented their conclusions on the level of awareness among youth in regard to our recent history, as well as common values that started heing cultivated as a resuit of the revolution of 1989.
