Frumoasa lumii, viteaza lumii sau tărâmul de dicolo de nori

  • Subiect: In the Romanian fairy-tales, the real path which the heroes follow is to their inner self to the center of their being and is the "the mast real imaginary voyage ''. The mountain is a sacralized space, dedicated to the gods and rituals. As an "axis-mundi", the mountain sets a connection between Heaven and the Earth. The symbol originates in a natural and universal psychological perception: that there is a "center of the world" which serves as a microcosm of order because it is known and settled. Outside the boundaries of the microcosm of lie foreign realms which represent chaos, death and night. There is due to the fact they are unfamiliar or not ordered. " .... Seen from above, the mountain grows gradually wider, and in this respect it corresponds to the inverted tree whose roots grow up towards heaven while its foliage points downwards, thereby expressing multiplicity, the universe in expansion, involution and materialization. " (Juan Eduardo Cirlot).
