Scurtă istorie a unui Antimis

  • Subiect: Short History of an Antimis As a consequence of the verdict from the 5th of July 1921, all the objects which were out of usage of the churches and monasteries from all over the country had to be gathered by the delegates of the Historical Monuments Board and brought to the museum of the institution. Certain object generated some conflicts. Among these objects was the Antimis (cloth used for the altar’s table) from the Brădet monastery (the Argeş County), dated 1604, which Nicolae Iorga asked for in order to be brought to the museum of the Board. The priest of the hermitage refused the proposal and thus a strong dispute regarding the place where the object was to be stored was created. Finally the chosen place was the Argeş Bishopric.
