• Subiect: „In the 79 tombs discovered in the fourth century A.D. necropolis, in Polocin, Islaz site, were found no less than 23 fibulas, namely, 22 discovered in the graves and one discovered in the necropolis area. The fibulas are entirely made of bronze, which ensured a better preservation in time. Among the 22 fibulas, 21 were found in inhumation graves and only one comes from a cremation grave (M 59). Also, the 22 fibulas discovered were found as follows: 14 were found in 7 graves, respectively two fibulas in each tomb (M 14, M 24, M 33, M 40, M 50, M 67, M 69) and a single one per the others graves. Moreover, it is interesting to note the fact that, in some cases, we are dealing with pair fibulas from (M 24, M 40,M 50). The other fibulas are of different types.”
