Finalizarea organizării grupei de industrii textile hidraulice. Construcţia complexului de industrii textile din Gura Râului (judeţul Sibiu) şi a complexului de industrii hidraulice de la Rebrişoara (judeţul Bistriţa-Năsăud)

  • Subiect: The finishing of the organising the group of the hydraulic textile industries. The reconstruction of the folk industries complex from Gura Râului Village (Sibiu County) and the hydraulic industries complex from Rebrişoara Village (Bistriţa Năsăud County) The „ASTRA" Museum from Sibiu gathers many whirlpools and fulling-mill buildings from Transylvania and Moldavia. These are used for cleaning and thickening the woolen-cloth. Gura Râului District, Sibiu County is well known for saw-mills, fulling-mills and whirlpools and Rebrişoara District, Bistriţa County is known for mills and „darace" (installation for straightening the wool fibers). The development of the hydraulic traditional industries in these two districts is due to similar historic, economic and geographic conditions. The industrial complex for finishing textiles from Gura Râului, was reconstructed in the museum from 2005 till 2006, and it is made of: fulling-mill, rolls for tightening and making those hairy woolen-clothes. Each one has its own admission system. Outside the fulling-mill building are two whirlpools. The hydraulic complex from Rebrişoara was brought to the museum during the beginning of the winter in 2008 and it will be reconstructed during the period of the year 2009. lt has a mill, a whirlpool and „darace", it also has a room where the fuller stays during the grinding process. Both hydraulic complexes use efficiently the water brought from the river to obtain a fast and clean process, enough to satisfy the increasing demand from the local population, and alsa increasing regional demand.
