Monumentele memoriale din oraşul Târgu Lăpuş şi localităţile aparţinătoare

  • Subiect: The Memorials from the Town of Tg. Lăpuş and from the Villages Belonging to the Lăpuş County There are 13 villages belonging to The Lapuş County (Tara Lapuşului), or the ethnographic area of this name, and Tg. Lăpuş is the capital town of it. Within the town and in each of these villages there are archaeological and architectural sites, as well as memorials. The memorials were dedicated to the Romanian heroes and martyrs who died fighting the Hungarian counter-revolutionaries from Transylvania during the Revolution of 1848 and to those who died on the battlefields during the two World Wars, trying to regain the Romanian territories. There is one memorial dedicated to Petru Rareş, one of the Moldavian rulers who ruled over The Lăpuş County along with other areas of Transylvania.
