Arhitectura satelor din Maramureşul istoric populate de ucrainieni

  • Subiect: In the historical Maramures, on the rivers valley that traverse these regions we found 13 villages in which lives almost 37000 Ukrainians. These rivers, on which banks lives Ukrainians are Tisa, Viseul and Ruscova. The Ukrainians has been colonized in the region Oas Ugocea beginning with the XVI century at the foot of the Oas mountain, in the swampy region of Tisa’s Valley between Tarna Mare and Gödényháza. In the XVII century and after the second world war has been colonized more Ukrainians in different region of Maramures and Satu Mare. The arhitecture of these region is based only on wood. The most used wood for the construction was the oak tree and the resin trees
