Relaţiile dintre "străinii" ungureni şi moşnenii câmpulungeni, în secolele XVIII-XIX reflectate în documente

  • Subiect: The paper presents the history of the relationships between the freeholders' community (free peasants) from Câmpulung-Muscel and the Transylvanian „strangers" (străini ungureni - Romanians from Transylvania) in the 18th -19th centuries. The relationships, that were tensioned sometimes, between the natives and the people subsequently established on the estate of Câmpulung, are analyzed on the basis of the documents transcribed on „the canvas of the town" between 1559 and 1747. These documents consolidate the old privileges of the inhabitants of the town and, in the same time, limit and condition the rights and the indebtednesses that the Romanians emigrated from Transylvania to Walachia because of religious, economical and social reasons. The source of the conflict - the property of the community and the laws regarding the way of using it - determined an agitated history of the relationships between the two Romanian populations. This history is reflected in acts and documents.
