Caracterizarea mineralogico-petrografică a obiectelor arheologice din zona Moigrad (jud. Sălaj)

  • Subiect: The Petrography of Some Objects for Medical Proposes from Porolissum The macro- and microscopic examination of the 8 samples obtained from the Moigrad archaeological discoveries (see table 1 and plates I, II) allowed us to delimit the provenance area of the raw material used to make them. The primary rocks are Oligocene sedimentary (detrital and chemical) rocks, except for one of the samples, which is of magmatic, andesitic origin. The mineralogical composition, the characteristics regarding the texture and the structure, as well as the specific changes generated by the thermic metamorphism, speak in favor of an autochthonous origin of the rocks contained in the archaeological material.
