Noi informaţii documentare despre "războiul undelor - dintre România şi Ungaria (1941-1944)

  • Subiect: New Information about the „War of Waves” between Romania and Hungary (1941-1943) The present study is a detailed presentation of an old article published in Acta Musei Porolossensis (XI, 1987, p. 365--421) by the authors C. Grad and V. Daraban. Being the beneficiary and unpublished documentary material the authors make a detailed analysis of the following aspects: 1. The setting and functioning of the Romanian clandestine radio stations. Initially these were: Radio Ardeal which used Romanian as broadcasting language; and Székelföldi Radio using Hungarian. Starting with July – August 1941 these two stations changed into Radio Romania Mare which broadcasted in Romanian and German and Eldély Magyar Rádió which emitted in Hungarian. There were two daily emissions (in the morning and in the evening) in Romanian and Hungarian and twice a week (on Thursday and Sunday) in German. 2. Technical characteristics: type of station, technical improvements, radius of action. 3. The technical and editorial board. 4. Means used for disconnecting, starting, revival and closing of broadcasting. 5. The objective of these clandestine broadcasts and the contribution of the radio service of the Great Major Army State to the technical and informational functioning of these stations. 6. The echoes that these emissions had in Romania, in the North of Transylvania occupied by Hungary after the Vienna Dictate (30 August 1940), in Hungary, Slovakia, the Soviet Union, England, Italy and in the USA. 7. Reactions of the Hungarian propaganda (press and secret radio stations).
