Ordonanţele şcolare ale lui Moise Fulea în Sălaj

  • Subiect: Moise Fulea s Directions Sent to the Schools in the Sălaj County The paper contributes to a better knowledge of the activity of Moise Fulea, an outstanding educator, writer and cultural personality, supporter of the enlightenment. After the so called Edict of Toleration (1781) the ecclesiastical un- unite authorities (orthodox) strived to organize a system of teaching of their own, led by Romanian personalities, in order to support the Romanian cultural and national claims. This is the general, background for appointing Miose Fulea as a headmaster of the ununite (orthodox) schools in 1814. He was the fourth and last person to hold this place, created some thirty years before. In this capacity Moise Fulea proved himself to be a competent teacher, full of spirit; he edited up to date textbooks, influenced by the Enlightenment school programmer issued at Viena, and contributed to the building of a modern teaching, so that the orthodox schools could compete with those supported by the unite ecclesiastical authorities in Blaj. The paper deals with the specialization courses for the rural teachers, which continued up to 1848, as well.
