Piuăritul în Mărginimea Sibiului. Perspectiva evolutic-tipologică. Reprezentare muzeală

  • Subiect: The Southern Transilvanian area was well-known tor its fulling-mills used for finishing big woolen textiles. The handicraft evolved trom the hand-mill and whirpool to the industrial complex tor finishing textiles at the end of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth century. After the llnd World War the handicraft was falling, and by the end of ?Os disappeared. At Gura Raului it was the highest technical development of the industrial complexes tor finishing textiles. The village covered a large area of "clients" from Tarnave Rivers, Timis and Northern Oltenia. The museum of Traditional Folk Civilization from Sibiu, Remania, gathers a large number of fulling-mills and whirpools trom the most regions of the country: Southern Transilvania (Fullingmill with vertical action and whirpool Rod, Sibiu County; Industrial complexes for finishing textiles Gura Raului, Sibiu County and "Darsta" trom Moeciu, Brasov County), Banat (Water-mill with fulling-miil called "dube'from Fanate, Bihor County; Fu/ling-mii/ with horizontal action and whirpool Prigor, Caras-Severin County; Fu/ling-mii/ with horizontal action with "Button" and whirpool from Sichevita, Caras- Severin County) and from the Southern Moldavia (Fu/ling-mii/ with two rolls and two whirpools Nistoresti, Vrancea County).
