Cîteva piese de inventar funerar specifice secolului IV p. Chr. Provenite de la Ingăreşti (com. Urecheni, jud. Neamţ)

  • Subiect: Among the collections of the History and Ethnography Museum of Târgu Neamţ there are some archaeological pieces which were discovered by chance in 1962, in Ingaresti (Urecheni village, Neamt county). These objects appeared on the occasion of the construction work for the livestock farm, in the place named La grajduri, on the left bank of the Topolita river. On that occasion several graves were destroyed, and only a part of the funerary inventory was preserved. Based on its characteristics, we can say that on that location there was a Santana de Mures-Černjachov cemetery. Currently, from the graves inventory there were preserved two bowls and a cup, both of them wheelmade, and a horn comb with semicircular handle. The poterry forms are quite common in other cemeteries, but also in some settlements. Of a particular importance is the comb, which is a good landmark for the necropolis dating. Based on it, we can say that the cemetery can be chronologically assigned to the fourth century AD. A settlement of the Santana de Mures - Černjachov culture, recently identified near the cemetery, allows us to say that the two sites could be contemporary.
