  • Subiect: Handmade belts is a handicraft that has its beginnings in ancient times, when man tried to approached the horse (wild horse), to team it and use it. This handicraft is one of the oldest in human history. Like any handicraft, the belt making evolves and develops over time depending on the needs and requirements. In Satu Mare the belt making is an old and well-known handicraft and there were many masters: Korompáki Andras, Székely Pista and his apprentice: Kavács József, Kátai Lajas; Nagy Bertalan; master Ádam B. and his apprentice: Müller István, master Markos Jószef; master Balla Jószef; master Tomori Bálint; master Pofok György; master Kavá Balla; master Kavács József; master Müller Pista and his apprentice: Kasztán Mihály and Papp Geza; master Kasztán Mihály and his apprentice: Jakab Jáska and Szijjártó Ferencz; master Papp Gáza and his apprentice Müller Ferencz (the son of master Müller Pista); master Tóth István and his apprentice Levai Iosif; master Csepa Ferencz; master Lévai Iosif; master . This study is an information tool on the belt making masters form Satu Mare County.
