Activitatea politică a lui Iuliu Maniu în preajma preluării puterii (1926-1928)

  • Subiect: THE POLITICAL ACTIVITY OF IULIU MANIU ON THE EVE OF THE TAKING OVER OF THE POWER (1926-1928) This research is a sequel of the other two which appeared in the previous issues of ACTA MP dedicated to the activity of Iuliu Maniu, after the Great Reunion. Though short, the period after the organization of P.N.T. (October, 1926) till the conquest of the power (November, 1928) is dense in political events. The death of King Ferdinand, followed by the death of I. C. Brătianu, favored the rising of Iuliu Maniu who advances, step by step, on the first level of the Romanian political stage. His political clear-sightedness, his balanced character, his verticality had made of the leader of P.N.T. a prestigious political leader. Though the Regency had postponed to commit the power to Iuliu Maniu and his party, it was finally bound to do it. It then started a new stage in the life and the political activity of the politician, though worries and disillusionments did not lack.
