Locuitori ai Clujului în fotografii realizate de Ferenc Veress (sfârşitul secolului al XIX-lea)

  • Subiect: Citizens of Cluj in Pictures taken by Ferenc Veress (end of the 19th Century) The present work intends to present the collection of glass photographs in the patrimony of the National Museum of History of Transylvania in Cluj-Napoca, taken by the Cluj photographer VERESS Ferenc, Transylvania's first renowned photographer, at the milestone between the 19th and 20th century. His photographic workshop opened in Cluj in 1852 was the first of the kind in the entire Transylvania. The shots were given to the museum with the takeover of the funds of the Association of Transylvanian Museum. In its turn, the latter received them as a donation from Veress himself, at the beginning of the 20th century.
