Locuirea eneolitică gumelniţeană de la mănăstirea Glavacioc, jud. Argeş

  • Subiect: The Eneolithic Gumelniţa Habitation from the Glavacioc Monastery, Argeş County This article is focused on the study of the Eneolithic habitation from the Glavacioc Monastery, Argeş County. The researches took place in severa) periods. The most recent was in 2005 provided by the archaeologists from the Argeş County Museum, but they were focused only on the Middle Age ensemble. The Glavacioc Monastery is placed on the higher terrace of the left bank of the Glavacioc River, on a teii settlement belonging to the Gumelniţa Culture. Three Gumelnita habitation levels were identified. There are not many and various discoveries, but they are proved by the amount of ceramics and few tools flint and stone made, or the anthropomorphic figurines. A bracelet, Spondylus shell made, was one of the most interesting finds.
