The paper analyses the set of three medals that depict in a humorous manner moments of historical events from 17th -18th century Austria The rapacity of France's king Louis XIV, his attacks on German territory and „The Divine Justice” that made possible the crowning of Joseph I as a Roman king at 11 years old, an real apogee for the dynasty; the war between Maria Teresa and Charles VII for Austrian succession; and the state of decrepitude of the Hungarian nobles in the age of Maria Teresa are the subjects chosen to mock about by the engravers of 17th - 18th century.
