Case şi gospodării ţărăneşti din comuna Medieşu Aurit şi satele aparţinătoare

  • Subiect: The county area includes several forms of relief from Oas Country mountain area, Peak Forests and piedmont area to the lowlands where we can distinguish two levels: low plains and high plains. Someş Plain has the largest expanse. In the southwest is Ecedea Plain, Crasna Plain, Ier Plain, Salacea Plain and in the West Carei and Nir Plain. The area occupied by fields is around 65% of the county. Regarding construction materials of houses built in the first half of the XXth century, is dominant the mud walls with planks, “vaioage”, then alternated and combined with burnt brick. The vast majority of peasant houses are composed of 2 to 3 or 4 rooms and the houses are provided with a porch, supported on brick or wooden pole. Positioning of the houses is perpendicular on the street with the clean room into the street and the other behind. Behind the house is a courtyard where the main position is taking by the barn which has large shed 12x12 m on the road axis of the gate. Barn has two door 4x4 m one in front and the other behind having the opportunity to cross both the cart and agricultural machinery. Furthermore, barn is a shelter for crops and tools. In the courtyard there are stables for animals, cages for pigs and poultry and garner for maize. Behind the barn there is the garden.
