Acţiuni teroriste, de diversiune şi spionaj hortyste la frontiera de vest a României. 1939-1940

  • Subiect: Terroristic Sabotage and Espionage Acts Committed by the Horthyst on the Western Frontier of Romania (1939-1940) The paper deals with the terroristic, sabotage and espionage acts committed by Horthysts during the years 1939-1940 when the relations between Romania and Hungary worsened constantly (reaching a climax in the Diktat of Wien), because of the provocative attitude of the Horthyst Hungary. The first Horthyst terroristic organization on the Romanian territory was discovered in October 14th 1939; it consisted of 172 members, all Romanian nationals with Hungarian origin. During the year 1940 another five terroristic organizations were discovered: Bociocoiul Mare (Maramureş County), Oraşul Nou (Satu Mare County), Valea. Lui Mihai (Bihor County), Andrid (Satu Mare County) and Oradea (Bihor County). The terroristic center of Oradea, discovered in October 14th 1940 was organized by agents of the Horthyst espionage services infiltrated in this county helped by Romanian nationals of Hungarian and Jewish origin, who acted as informers, couriers and temporary keepers for explosives.
