• Subiect: Iuliu Maniu at Alba Iulia The author deals with a period from Iuliu Maniu's life spent in Alba Iulia, his connections with bishop's center of Blaj. After graduating the University of Budapest Iuliu Maniu became doctor in law. After November 1918 he worked as a lawyer at the Greek-Catholic Metropolitan Center of Blaj, a civil law professor at the Greek-Catholic Institute in Blaj and a jurist at the local „Patria" bank. Simultaneously his political activity is revealed starting from his student years up to his mobilization in the Austro-Hungarian army, where he acted from October 15th 1915 up to the breaking up of Austro-Hungarian in 1918. Further are presented the major events which determined his presence at Alba Iulia, his public appearances and his role in the major events of the day. The work concludes with considerations about the personality and political work of Iuliu Maniu.
