  • Subiect: In a previous paper, the authors have aimed at re-making an edilitary-urbanistic image of Bucharest during the 18th century, using 38 documents mentioning the involvement of the Golescu family members in commercial transactions with religious or even cultural connotations. In the present paper, other 84 documents, gathered from the patrimonies of the Romanian Academy, the National Archives - Bucharest, the Museum of the Municipality of Bucharest or from private collections, offe1 new information’s about the society in Bucharest, and about some stages in the evolution of the town, during the first five decencies’ of the 19th century, contributing in a more profound knowledge of people end events of the Bucharest of yore, the Golescu family having participated in the most important moments of the everyday life of Bucharest.
