  • Subiect: Aspects Regarding the Proceeding of the Plebiscite for the Endorsement of Charles II’s Constitution in Piteşti - 24 February 1938 The Constitution of Romania from 1938 was promulgated through the Royal Decree no. 1045 from the 27th of February 1938, signed by the King Charles II and countersigned by the President of the Minister Council, the Patriarch of the Orthodox Romanian Church Miron Cristea and 15 state secretaries. The promulgation of the Constitution was the result of the plebiscite from the 24th of February 1938. According to the official data, 4 297 581 votes pro and 5843 against were recorded in the whole country. In Piteşti, there were 4102 voters: 4094 voted pro and 8 against.
