Condiţiile istorice ale intemeierii cetăţii Bran (1377). Războiul aliaţilor europeni împotriva lui Ludovic I de Anjou din 1375-1377 şi acţiunile militare ale domnilor Ţării Româneşti Vlaicu şi Radu I

  • Subiect: The Historical Circumstances of Bran Fortress Foundation 1377. The European Allies' War Against Louis I of Anjou from 1375-1377 and the Military Actions of the Wallachian Rulers Vlaicu and Radu Though it is known that Bran fortress was built by the Transylvania Saxon town Braşov as a consequence of Louis I of Anjou's order (the king of Hungary and Poland) from the I 91 h of November 1377, the opinions of those who have discussed the meaning of this building differs from one to another. Usually this foundation was considered important because it was a point of KUard on the trade way between Transylvania and Wallachia. Another opinion was that of the foundation of this fortress as a defensive military point against the danger represented by the Ottoman Empire, but such a danger was outdated.
