Accesorii vestimentare catarame din necropola de tip Sîntana de Mureş-Cerneahov de la Barcea secolul al IV-lea d. Chr.

  • Subiect: As clothing accessories, buckles were used for securing the belt at the waist or other straps attached to it; they were also used for fastening shoe straps. A number of 53 buckles were discovered in the Barcea necropolis, of which 2 in incineration tombs and 51 in inhumation tombs. Of the 53 items, 28 are made out of bronze, 8 of silver and 17 of iron. For classification purposes, 49 buckles were chosen; they were divided into three types with variants and sub-variants.
