  • Subiect: The objects made of leather such as the sleeveless fur coats, peasant belts, sheepskin coats, footwear or accessories have an important place in the collection of the „ASTRA" Museum from Sibiu. The reconditioning of leather through traditional methods, namely the tanning was known long time aga. The objects made of leather that are subject of the reconditioning process can loose some characteristics of their composition. That is why during the restoration process there are made some specific operations and we use corresponding substances which preserve intime the reconditioned objects.
